Jeju Forum begins May 25
Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to attend

The 11th Jeju Forum will be held from May 25th to the 27th at the International Convention Center.

Some 4,000 dignitaries, CEOs, journalists, and experts in foreign affairs from over 60 countries... are expected to participate in the three-day event, which is being co-hosted by the provincial government, the International Peace Foundation, the East Asia Foundation, and the JoongAng Ilbo.

Former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev, who was head of state during the Korea-USSR summit of 1990, is also expected to attend and deliver a speech on world peace.

The theme of this year’s forum is “Asia’s New Order and Cooperative Leadership.” 67 sessions are scheduled over the three-day gathering.

제11회 제주포럼이 오는 5월 25일부터 사흘간
제주국제컨벤션센터에서 열립니다.

제주특별자치도와 국제평화재단, 동아시아재단 등이 주최하는 이번 포럼에
국내외 정상급 인사와 경영인, 외신, 외교전문가 등 60여개국에서 4천여명이 참가합니다.

특히 지난 1990년 한소 정상회담의 주인공인
고르바초프 전 소련 대통령이 참석해
지구촌에 평화 메시지를 전달할 예정입니다.

제주도는 이번 포럼의 주제를 '아시아의 새로운 질서와
협력적 리더십'으로 정하고 모두 67개의 세션으로 진행한다는 계획입니다.
