3,000 Vietnamese to visit Jeju yearly for incentive travel
JTO officials sign agreement Monday in Ho Chi Minh City

Around 3,000 Vietnamese are expected to begin coming to Jeju annually on corporate-funded incentive travel programs.

Officials from the Jeju Tourism Organization signed an agreement to that effect Monday local time in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam... with their counterparts from the Hanoi branches of the Jeju Convention Bureau and the Korea Tourism Organization.

The JTO also agreed to work with five local travel agencies in Vietnam to market the programs.

About 26,000 Vietnamese visited Jeju last year. That is 16 percent fewer than the 2014 tally.

제주관광공사는 오늘(21일) 베트남 호치민에서
제주컨벤션뷰로, 한국관광공사 하노이지사 등과
업무 협약을 맺고 연간 3천명 이상의 인센티브 관광객 유치에 합의했습니다.

특히 호치민 현지 여행사 5곳과
인센티브 단체 관광객 유치를 위해
공동 마케팅을 추진하기로 했습니다.

한편, 지난해 제주를 방문한 베트남 관광객은
2만 6천여 명으로 전년보다 16% 감소했습니다.
