Seogwipo to buy privately-owned Lee Jung-seop originals

Seogwipo plans to look for and buy privately-owned original artwork by the late (이중섭) Lee Jung-seop… to display in the city’s (이중섭) Lee Jung-seop Art Museum.

500 million won has been set aside to purchase paintings, letters, and other examples of his work.

Individuals or private art galleries that currently own an original Lee Jung-seop can report the fact to the museum via post or in person until April 1st.

The Seogwipo municipal administration will then decide whether to make the purchase based on deliberations.

이중섭 원화작품을 소장한 개인이거나 화랑은
다음달 1일까지 이중섭미술관으로 우편이나 방문 접수할 수 있습니다.

서귀포시는 작품 접수에 이어
협의를 통해 구입 여부를 결정할 계획입니다.
