Minjoo Party denies Kim Woo-nam’s request for reconsideration
Oh Young-hoon solidifies position as candidate

The nomination committee of the main opposition Minjoo Party has denied representative Kim Woo-nam’s request that the party reconsider its decision to exclude him from the April 13 general elections.

The request was made after Oh Young-hoon was nominated to run as Minjoo’s candidate in Jeju City District B. The party’s Tuesday announcement that it would not reverse the decision solidifies Oh’s candidacy.

Following the announcement, Kim Woo-nam expressed his gratitude to the people of the district for their support over the past 18 years. He then expressed his intention to take an indefinite leave from the political scene.

오영훈 예비후보로 확정됐습니다.

김우남 예비후보는 18년 동안 지지해준 선거구민에게 감사의 뜻을 전하고,
기약 없는 정치방학에 들어간다며
정치활동을 접겠다고 뜻을 밝혔습니다.
