All cloven-hoofed animals in Jeju to be vaccinated against FMD
Government to fully fund inoculations at smaller farms

Provincial officials are requiring all cloven-hoofed animals on the island to be vaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease.

The province will cover half of the vaccination costs for farms with over 1,000 pigs or over 50 cows. It will cover the full cost of inoculation for smaller farms.

Farms that don’t vaccinate all their animals will be fined and excluded from various support programs.

제주지역 모든 우제류 구제역 백신 접종

제주특별자치도가 소와 돼지 등 모든 우제류 가축을 대상으로
구제역 백신 일제 접종을 실시합니다.

돼지 1천마리 이상, 소 50마리 이상의 전업농가의 경우
지역축협에서 50%의 보조를 받아 백신을 구입해야 하며,
소규모 농가는 행정시로부터 무료로 받을 수 있습니다.

제주도는 구제역 백신 접종을 실시하지 않은 농가에 대해
과태료 부과는 물론 각종 지원 정책에서 배제한다는 방침입니다.
