Nearly 500,000 Jeju residents eligible to vote

497,710 Jeju residents are eligible to vote in the country’s 20th legislative elections on April 13th.

The Jeju Election Commission said Monday roughly 56,000, or about 12.7 percent, more voters will be able to cast their ballots compared to the 19th legislative elections four years ago.

Jeju City District A has the largest number of eligible voters at 190,488… followed by Jeju City District B with 171,420… and Seogwipo with 135,802.

The commission says 22,788 people are eligible to vote in Donghong-dong (동홍동), Seogwipo… where a by-election will also be held for the that neighborhood’s provincial council seat.

제20대 국회의원 선거에 투표할 수 있는
제주지역 유권자수가 49만7천710명으로 집계됐습니다.

제주특별자치도 선거관리위원회는
총선 선거인명부를 작성한 결과,
지난 2012년 19대 총선때보다 12.7%, 5만6천여 명 늘어난
49만 7천 710명으로 잠정 집계됐다고 밝혔습니다.

제주시갑선거구가 19만 488명으로 가장 많고,
제주시을선거구 17만 1천 420명, 서귀포시선거구 13만 5천 802명입니다.

제주특별자치도의회 보궐선거가 치러지는
서귀포시 동홍동 선거인수도 2만 2천 788명으로 집계됐습니다.
