JDC buys Moneual building for \17.3b at auction
Company went bankrupt, executives charged with fraud

The JDC has bought the (모뉴엘) Moneual building at auction, after the company went bankrupt and its executives were charged with large-scale fraud.

Jeju District Court representatives say the new building in Yeongpyeong-dong (영평동), Jeju City was sold Monday to the Jeju Free International City Development Center at the fourth auction for the property.

The JDC’s winning bid was 17.28 billion won. It had been bidding for the property with MJ Tech, a company located inside the Jeju Science Park, as (모뉴엘) Moneual had been.

The structure first went up for auction after the company was declared bankrupt in 2014.

대출사기사건으로 파산한 제주이전기업 모뉴엘의 신사옥이
제주국제자유도시개발센터에 넘어갔습니다.

제주지방법원에 따르면 오늘(4일) 열린 4차 경매에서
제주시 영평동에 위치한 모뉴엘 제주 신사옥은
제주국제자유도시개발센터에 최종 낙찰됐습니다.

낙찰가는 172억 8천만 원으로 이번 입찰에는 제주국제자유도시개발센터와
첨단과학기술단지 내 입주업체인 엠제이테크가 참여했습니다.

한편, 모뉴엘 제주사옥은 지난 2014년 파산 선고 후
주채권은행인 사업은행에서 경매를 신청해 지난해말 처음 경매에 나왔으며, 응찰자가 없어 세차례 유찰됐습니다.
