Officials plan massive release in village fishing grounds
850,000 abalone, blue abalone, red sea cucumbers

The provincial government will release 850,000 young edible sea creatures in village fishing grounds during the first half of this year.

Officials will let 350,000 abalone, 200,000 blue abalone, and 300,000 red sea cucumbers go into coastal waters in 12 locations, which were selected based on applications turned in by villages across the island.

The province also plans to spend around 1.1 billion won in the second half of the year to conduct a similar release of young abalone, red sea cucumbers, and other species.

마을어장에 수산종묘 85만 마리 방류

제주특별자치도가 올 상반기에 수산종묘 85만 마리를 방류합니다.

이번에 방류하는 수산종묘는 전복 35만 마리와 오분자기 20만 마리, 홍해삼 30만 마립니다.

방류지역은 신청한 어촌계를 대상으로 각종 평가를 거쳐 12개소를 선정했습니다.

제주도는 올 하반기에도 사업비 11억원을 투입해
전복과 홍해삼, 어류 등을 추가로 방류할 예정입니다.
