Jeju exports rise slightly
Cabbage prices up, halibut prices down

Jeju exports rose slightly in March.

According to the Jeju branch of the Korea Trade Association, sales from local exports reached 10 million 970 thousand US dollars last month… up 0.1 percent from a year ago.

Cabbage exports rose the most, by 380 percent, bringing in some 500,000 dollars in March… while exports of bottled water also increased 77 percent.

Meanwhile, sales of Jeju’s biggest export item, halibut, fell by 17 percent.

제주지역 수출액 소폭 증가…양배추↑·넙치↓

지난달 제주지역 수출액이 소폭 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.

한국무역협회 제주지부에 따르면
지난달 제주지역 수출액은 1천 97만 달러로
지난해 같은 기간보다 0.1퍼센트 증가했습니다.

양배추 수출액은 50만 달러로
지난해보다 380퍼센트 증가했고,
생수는 77퍼센트 늘었습니다.

반면 제주지역 최대 수출 품목인 넙치는
지난해보다 17퍼센트 감소했습니다.
