Festivals to raise climate change awareness
April 22 is Earth Day

There will be a couple of events this weekend to raise awareness about climate change.

On Saturday, an ‘Earth and Environment Festival’ will take place at the Jeju Citizen’s Welfare Town as part of efforts to mark the 46th annual Earth Day, which is observed globally on April 22nd. Under the theme ‘Carbon Zero, Breathing Earth’, the festival will offer hands-on programs that promote ways to live green using modern-day science.

Also this weekend, a campaign will be held at Seogwipo’s Cheonjiyeon stage and the old Mokseokwon in Jeju City... to raise awareness of climate change issues and to urge citizens to participate in reducing overall greenhouse gas emissions by cutting one ton of carbon emissions per person per year.

오는 23일 제주시민복지타운에서는
제46주년 지구의 날을 기념한
지구환경축제가 열립니다.

이번 축제는 ‘탄소 제로, 숨쉬는 지구’를 주제로
녹색생활과 과학을 연계한
다양한 프로그램이 운영됩니다.

또 23일과 24일,
서귀포 천지연 공연장과
옛 목석원 일대에서는
온실가스 1인 1톤 줄이기 실천 캠페인도 열립니다.
