5 arrested for in-flight disturbances so far this year
Charges include smoking in bathroom, assault of flight attendant

Airport police have arrested five people so far this year for causing in-flight disturbances.

Two people were caught smoking in the bathroom, two were arrested on charges of assaulting a flight attendant, and one person was arrested for obstruction.

In line with the Aviation Security Act, a person who fails to follow flight attendants’ instructions and resorts to violence can face up to five years in prison.

기내 흡연·승무원 폭행 '갑질 승객' 5명 적발

제주국제공항경찰대는
올 들어 여객기 내에서 승무원을 때리거나 담배를 피우는 등
항공보안법을 위반한 일명 갑질 승객
5명을 적발했다고 밝혔습니다.

유형별로는
기내 흡연이 2명, 승무원 폭행 2명,
업무방해 1명 순이었습니다.

항공보안법에 따르면
승객이 항공기내에서
승무원의 지시를 따르지 않고
폭력을 행사할 경우에는
최대 5년이하의 징역에 처해질 수 있습니다.
