Jeju sends Samdasoo to Japanese earthquake victims
2.5 tons of planned 300 tons of bottled water shipped

Jeju has sent 2.5 tons of locally bottled water as emergency aid to earthquake victims in Kumamoto prefecture, Japan.

Provincial authorities planned to send 300 tons of Samdasoo. They have been unable to ship the rest because of the destruction of transportation infrastructure in the affected area. They say they will work with Japanese authorities to increase the supply of water sent to the region.

제주특별자치도가
잇따라 발생한 강진으로 막대한 인적.물적 피해를 입은
일본 구마모토현 이재민 구호를 위해
제주삼다수 2.5톤을 긴급 지원했습니다.

당초 300톤 이상의 삼다수를 현지에 지원할 계획이었으나
각종 시설이 파손되고
운송체계 역시 원활하지 않은 만큼
우선 현지에서 수용할 수 있는 물량으로 축소했습니다.

제주도는
구마모토현과의 협의를 통해
삼다수 지원 물량을 단계적으로 확대할 계획입니다.
