Consignment sales up for hairtail, down for yellow corvina
1,800 tons of fish sold in March for \23.3b

The amount of fish sold on consignment in March decreased, but the monetary value of it increased compared to a year before.

According to the province, the six local branches of Suhyup sold a total of 1,800 tons of fish on consignment last month. That’s five percent less than a year ago. The value of the fish, though, spiked 19 percent over the same period to around 23.3 billion won.

The biggest increase was in hairtail sales. The amount sold rose 39 percent to 448 tons, while receipts climbed a whopping 69 percent to 13 billion won.

Yellow corvina didn’t fare so well. Both the amount and the value of what was sold plummeted 80 percent to 30 tons and 700 million won, respectively.

지난달 6개 수협의 어선어업 위판량과 위판액은 1천 800톤에 233억원으로
지난해 같은기간에 비해 위판량으로는 5% 줄어든 반면 위판액은 19% 증가했습니다.

특히 갈치가 448톤에 130억원으로 위판량으로 39%, 위판액으로 69% 늘어
전체적인 증가세를 주도했습니다.

반면 참조기는 30톤에 7억원으로 위판량과 위판액 모두 80% 가량 줄어
대조를 보였습니다.
