Jeju land prices up 3.6%
Biggest increase in Korea

Land prices in Jeju rose at the fast pace in the nation in the first quarter.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced Tuesday that the price of land in Jeju rose an average 3.64 percent, compared to the same period a year earlier. That’s about six-fold the national average of just 0.56 percent.

Within Jeju, land prices rose 3.85 percent in Seogwipo and 3.51 percent in Jeju City.

The biggest increase was recorded in Seogwipo’s Pyoseon-myeon… where land prices rose 5.5 percent. That was followed by Jeju City’s Gujwa-eup at 5.03 percent, Namwon-eup at 4.85 percent, and then Seongsan-eup at 4.66 percent.

Ministry officials attributed the sharp rise to the increase in demand for both land around the planned site for Jeju’s new airport and coastal farmland.

제주 땅값이 지속적으로 오르면서 전국에서도 가장 높은 상승률을 보였습니다.

국토교통부가 오늘(3일) 발표한 올해 1분기 전국 지가변동률에 따르면,
제주의 땅값은 지난해 같은 기간보다 3.64% 올라 전국 최고치를 기록했습니다.
이 같은 상승률은 전국 평균인 0.56%보다 6배나 높은 것입니다.

지역별로는 서귀포시가 3.85%, 제주시 3.51% 각각 상승했습니다.
읍면동별로 보면 표선면이 5.5%로 가장 높은 상승률을 보였고
구좌읍 5.03%, 남원읍 4.85%, 성산읍 4.66% 순이었습니다.

국토부는 제2공항 후보지 인근의 투자수요가 증가했고
해안가 중심 농지 등에 대한 수요가 늘었기 때문으로 분석했습니다.
