Land sales tumble 25.8% in April
Market appears to be stabilizing

Island land transactions have dropped sharply as the real estate market shows signs of stabilizing.

According to the provincial government… some 6,700 plots totalling around 7.8 million square meters of land were sold in April. In area, that represents a 25.8 percent drop from the previous month.

The biggest decrease was in Namwon-eup where land transactions fell by 57.9 percent… followed by Pyoseon-myeon at 49.7 percent and Andeok-myeon at 36.7 percent.

Local officials say they will continue to strengthen measures to curb real estate speculation. They say the ongoing crackdown is effective.

제주도내 토지 거래량이 줄어들며 거래 시장도 안정세를 되찾고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 지난달 거래된 토지는
6천 761필지, 787만 9천 제곱미터로 전달보다
면적 기준 25.8% 감소했습니다.

지역별로 살펴보면 남원읍이 57.89%로 가장 많이 줄었고,
이어 표선면 49.68%, 안덕면 36.7% 순이었습니다.

제주도는 부동산투기집중단속과 농지기능관리 강화방침 등이
효과가 있는 것으로 보고 부동산 투기 방지대책을 강화할 방침입니다.
