Jeju Haenyeo Culture Academy accepting students until May 27
6-week course begins June 4

The Jeju Haenyeo Culture Academy is accepting students through May 27th.

The six-week course will begin June 4th at the Haenyeo Museum.

Among other things, students will learn theories about Jeju’s marine culture and visit historical sites related to the women divers.

The Jeju Haenyeo Culture Academy was established last year with the aim of getting the word out about the unique and integral part haenyeo play in local culture. Courses are taught by experts from both Jeju and the mainland.

오는 27일까지 수강생을 모집합니다.

이번 아카데미는 다음달 4일부터
6주 동안 제주해녀박물관 세미나실에서 진행되며,

제주해양 문화와 관련된 이론강의와
해녀 유적 탐방 등 현장학습이 이뤄집니다.

한편, 제주해녀문화 아카데미는
제주해양 문화 보급을 위해 지난해 개설됐으며
도내외 전문가들이 강사로 참여하고 있습니다.
