Jeolmul Recreation Forest adds new ‘forest bathing’ trail
Natural aromatherapy along 500-meter path

The Jeolmul Recreation Forest has added a new walking trail for what’s known as “forest bathing.”

Spanning three hectares and costing 94 million won… the new 500-meter path is billed as a way to experience natural aromatherapy. It is surrounded by phytoncide-emitting cypress trees.

Forest officials say those trees will be regularly trimmed in order to keep them in optimal condition.

The new path is located next to the (숫모르) Sootmoroo Trail, another of the forest’s popular attractions.

절물휴양림 편백림 산림욕장 편의시설 개선

제주시 절물자연휴양림 일대 편백나무 산림욕장에 편의시설이 보강됐습니다.

제주시 절물생태관리사무소는 편백림 일대 3ha에 사업비 9천400만원을 투입해
정자와 평상, 식생매트 500m를 설치했습니다.

이와함께 가지치기 등 주기적인 산림작업으로 쾌적한 산림욕 환경을 제공해 나갈 계획입니다.

편백나무조림지는 숫모르 편백 숲길과 접해있어 절물자연휴양림을 찾는 탐방객들이 즐겨찾는 곳입니다.
