Tax breaks proposed for property buyers in JDC-operated sites
Province proposes exemptions from acquisition, property taxes until 2018

A proposed legal revision would benefit investors who buy property in zones operated by the Jeju Free International City Development Center.

The provincial government has submitted such a bill to the provincial council. It exempts owners from paying acquisition and property taxes on properties in designated tourist and industrial complexes that are operated by the JDC as well as in the Global Education City. The tax breaks would continue through 2018.

However, the bill also states that if the property remains unused after two years of acquisition, owners are required to pay the exempted tax.

The provincial council will decide the matter during its Thursday special session.

JDC 부동산 취득세·재산세 면제 추진

취득하는 부동산에 대해 취득세와 재산세를 면제하는 방안이 추진됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 이같은 내용을 담은
제주도세 감면조례 개정안을 도의회에 제출했습니다.

주요내용은 JDC가 개발하는 관광단지와 산업단지,
그리고 영어교육도시내 각종 시설에 필요한 부동산을 취득하는 경우
오는 2018년까지 취득세와 재산세를 면제하도록 했습니다.

다만 취득한 부동산을 정당한 이유없이 2년 이내에 사용하지 않을 경우
감면한 취득세를 추징합니다.

제주도의회는 내일부터 열리는 임시회에서 조례안을 처리할 예정입니다.
