National Statistical Office to conduct economic census
Nearly 64,000 Jeju businesses to be surveyed in June, July

The National Statistical Office will conduct an economic census this summer.

Conducted every five years, the upcoming census will take place from June 7th to July 22nd.

Online data will also be collected from June 7th to July 30th.

In Jeju, the NSO will survey some 63,600 businesses that have more than one employee. Researchers will collect information on employment, production, expenses, and corporate management, among other things.

All of that data will be used as a database for national statistics as well as in policymaking and analyses of related research.

통계청, 2016 경제총조사 실시

통계청이 우리나라 전체 산업의 규모와 구조를 파악하기 위한
경제총조사를 실시합니다.

5년마다 실시하는 이번 경제총조사는
다음달 7일부터 7월 22일까지 이뤄지며,
원활한 추진을 위해 다음달 7일부터 30일까지
온라인 인터넷 조사도 함께 진행됩니다.

조사는 도내 1인 이상의 사업체 6만3천600여군데를 대상으로
고용과 생산, 비용 등 기업경영 전반에 대해 이뤄집니다.

이번 경제총조사결과는 국가의 기본통계 작성과
정책수립, 평가연구분석 자료로 활용됩니다.
