Kim Chang-yeol Art Gallery near completion
Province spending \9.2b on facility in Jeoji-ri

Two years after it began, the construction of an art gallery dedicated to (김창열) Kim Chang-yeol is nearing completion.

The province says the provincial art gallery is now 98 percent complete. Work will be done in June.

Kim is known widely for his paintings of water drops. Officials will select and install the exhibits over the summer. The official opening is slated for September 24th.

The gallery is located in (저지) Jeoji-ri, Hangyeong-myeon, Jeju City. The province has spent 9.2 billion won on the construction of the one-floor building that measures 1,587 square meters.

현재 98%의 공정률을 보이며 다음달 초 준공을 앞두고 있습니다.

정식 개관은 작품 전시 준비가 끝나는 9월 24일로 예정하고 있습니다.

한편, 제주도립 김창열미술관은 제주시 한경면 저지리에 위치해 있으며,
사업비 92억원을 들여 연면적 1천 587제곱미터의 지상 1층 규모로 조성됐습니다.
