Jeju mountaineers summit Dhaulagiri
7 local climbers make it to peak of world’s 7th highest mountain

An expedition of climbers from Jeju has succeeded in reaching the peak of Nepal’s Dhaulagiri ? the world’s seventh highest mountain.

Led by Oh Seok-sam, a group of seven Jeju mountaineers, including Lee Chang-baek and Go Gyeong-man, made it to the 8,167-meter summit on May 19th.

Meaning “white mountain” in the local language, Dhaulagiri is situated in western Nepal. It is notorious for its harsh weather conditions.

산 정상에 올랐다고 밝혔습니다.

'흰 산'을 뜻하는 다울라기리는
네팔 중북부 히말라야 산맥에 있는 봉우리로,
잦은 악천후로 악명이 높습니다.
