Jeju fuel prices on the rise
Gas projected to soon surpass \1,500 per liter

Experts say fuel prices in Jeju show no signs of leveling off, and that the average local gas price will soon push past the 1,500-won-per-liter mark.

It’s already reached that point at some local gas stations.

According to online price tracker (오피넷) Opinet, the average price of a liter of gasoline on the island on Friday was 1,494 won. That’s 30 won higher than the previous week.

Across the nation, only Seoul drivers were paying more.

Diesel is going for an average of 1,271 won per gallon, 60 won more than the national average.

도내 기름값 오름세…1천500원대 진입 전망

도내 기름값이 연일 상승하고 있는 가운데 휘발유 값이 1천500원 대 진입을 앞두고 있습니다.

유가정보 오피넷에 따르면 오늘(3일) 도내 휘발유 평균가격은 리터당 1천494원으로 지난주보다 30원 올랐습니다.

이는 전국 평균보다 68원 비싼 것으로 서울에 이어 전국에서 2번째로 높습니다.

특히 제주시내 일부 주유소의 휘발유 값이 1천500원까지 올랐고, 경유가격도 전국 평균보다 60원 비싼 리터당 1천271원으로 조사됐습니다.
