More passengers, flights at Jeju airport
Traffic up 10% in first five months of year

Jeju International Airport continues to serve both more passengers and more flights.

According to the Korea Airports Corporation, around 11.7 million passengers had used the airport this year through the end of May. That’s ten percent more than a year ago.

The domestic flight passenger tally rose ten percent, but international passenger traffic spiked 15 percent, or by 1.1 million people.

The airport had handled 69,800 flights through the end of last month. That’s nine percent more than during the first five months of 2015.

제주공항 이용객·운항편수 증가

제주국제공항 이용객이 꾸준히 증가하고 있습니다.

한국공항공사가 발표한 항공통계에 따르면
올들어 지난달까지 제주공항 이용객은 1천172만 명으로
지난해 같은 기간보다 10% 증가했습니다.

이 가운데 국내선 이용객이 지난해보다 10% 증가했고,
국제선 이용객은 110만여 명으로 15% 늘었습니다.

항공기 운항 편수도 올해 6만 9천800여 편으로
지난해 같은기간보다 9% 늘어난 것으로 집계됐습니다.
