Mongolia Olle to open in first half of 2017
Jeju Olle Foundation seeks to replicate success of ‘export’ to Japan

The Jeju Olle phenomenon is branching out to Mongolia following the success of its walking trails in Kyushu, Japan.

The Jeju Olle Foundation says it recently signed an agreement with
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to create an Olle walking trail.

The new path in Mongolia is slated to be complete and open to the public in the first half of 2017.

The Ulaanbaatar municipal administration expects the new path will help attract more tourists and become popular with locals.

몽골 올레 내년 상반기 개장 추진

제주올레가
일본 규슈에 이어 몽골지역으로 수출됩니다.

사단법인 제주올레는 최근 몽골 울란바토르시와
몽골올레 조성을 위한 업무협약을 체결했습니다.

이에 따라 몽골올레는 끝없이 펼쳐진 초원과 호수길,
그리고 울란바토르시 도심을 지나는 코스로 개발되며
내년 상반기쯤 개장을 목표로 추진됩니다.

몽골 울란바토르시는 이번 올레길 개장 추진을 통해
관광객 유치는 물론 자국민의 호응도 이끌어 낼 수 있을 것으로
기대하고 있습니다.
