‘Healing Forest’ opens in Hogeun-dong, Seogwipo
\5.6b spent on 174-hectare forest

A so-called ‘Healing Forest’ is now officially open to the public in Hogeun-dong, Seogwipo.

Among the roughly 500 people on hand Sunday for the opening ceremony was Shin Won-seop, the head of the Korea Forest Service.

About 5.6 billion won was spent to create the 174-hectare forest. It has nine walking trails, ranging in length from 700 meters to 1.9 kilometers.

Visitors can also enjoy an indoor rest area and a variety of educational opportunities on site.

서귀포시 호근동에 '치유의 숲' 개장

서귀포시 호근동 일대에 치유의 숲이 조성됐습니다.

서귀포시는 오늘 신원섭 산림청장을 비롯해 방문객 5백여 명이 참석한 가운데 치유의 숲 개장행사를 가졌습니다.

사업비 56억 원을 투입해 서귀포시 호근동 시오름 국유림 174ha에
문을 연 치유에 숲은 7백미터에서 1.9km 구간 숲길 코스 9개가 조성됐습니다.

아울러 방문객 쉼터와 숲속교실도 함께 운영됩니다.
