More passengers on Jeju flights
Over 2.6m people departed the island in May

The number of passengers on Jeju flights is on the rise.

The transport ministry says that in May nearly 2.4 million people departed Jeju on domestic flights. That’s almost six percent more than last year.

Among all domestic flights, those connecting to Jeju accounted for 86.2 percent. That’s 0.4 percentage points higher.

Another 249,000 passengers left the island on international flights last month. That’s 2.5 percent more than in May 2015.

제주노선 항공기 이용객이 꾸준히 증가하고 있습니다.

국토교통부에 따르면 지난달 제주기점 국내선 이용객은 235만여 명으로
지난해 같은 기간보다 6% 증가했습니다. 이로 인해 제주노선의 국내선 점유율은 전년보다 0.4%p 증가한 86%를 기록하고 있습니다.

제주기점 국제선 이용객은 24만 9천여 명으로 지난해보다 2.5% 늘었습니다.
