Emergency numbers to be merged in July
112 to report crime, 119 for other emergencies, 110 for civil complaints

Starting July first, there will be just three emergency numbers, instead of the current 21.

The Ministry of Public Safety and Security has announced that it will begin testing the new system in July in Jeju, Gwangju, and Jeollanam-do Province, before a nationwide rollout.

Beginning Friday, crimes can be reported at 1-1-2, all other emergencies and disasters at 1-1-9, and civil complaints by dialing 1-1-0.

다음달부터 긴급신고 전화번호 통합

기관마다 제각각 운영됐던 21개 긴급 신고전화가 다음달부터 112와 119, 110로 통합 운영됩니다. 국민안전처는 신속한 현장 출동을 위해 긴급신고전화 통합 서비스를 제주를 비롯한 광주, 전남 등 3개 지역에서 시범 실시한다고 밝혔습니다.

이에 따라 다음달부터는 개별 전화번호를 몰라도 범죄는 112, 재난은 119, 민원 상담은 110으로 전화하면 긴급 신고나 민원 상담을 할 수 있습니다.
