Sales continue to climb for major retailers in Jeju
Receipts in June up 17% year-over-year

Sales at major retailers in Jeju continue to climb.

The Jeju branch of the Honam Statistical Office says the sales index of Jeju’s major retail stores last month stood at 234. That’s 8 percent higher than a month previously and 17 percent higher than a year before.

Home appliances and clothing had the biggest sales growth. The index for those items was more than double the national average of 115.2.

Meanwhile, the index for industrial production rose 16 percent over the year to 130 last month.

도내 대형소매점 판매액 지수가 꾸준히 증가하고 있습니다.

호남지방통계청 제주사무소에 따르면 지난달 도내 대형소매점 판매액 지수는 234로 전달보다 8%, 지난해 같은 기간보다 17% 증가했습니다.

특히 가전제품과 의류 등은 소비가 많이 늘어 전국 평균 판매액 지수 115.2보다 2배 이상 높습니다.

한편 지난달 제주도내 광공업생산지수는 130으로 지난해 같은 기간보다 16% 늘었습니다.
