Changing of the guards ceremony at Mokgwana
Saturdays at 4:30 PM from July 16 through end of October

Residents and tourists will be able to witness the Joseon-era customary changing of the guards ceremony weekly at (제주목 관아) Jeju Mokgwana.

Jeju City will run the ceremony at 4:30 p.m. every Saturday from July 16th through the end of October.

In addition to the ceremony, there will be a traditional music parade and martial arts demonstrations.

The city will set up areas for visitors to take photos with the guards after the ceremony.

16일부터 제주목 관아 수문장 교대의식 재현

제주목 관아에서 조선시대 궁궐이나 성문에서 행해지던
수문장 교대의식이 재현됩니다.

제주시는 오는 16일부터 10월까지 매주 토요일 오후 4시 30분에
관덕정 광장에서 수문장 교대의식을 재현한다고 밝혔습니다.

수문장 교대의식에 앞서 목관아에서 중앙로 일대까지
취타대와 함께 수문군 행진이 징이 이뤄집니다.

이와함께 교대식 후에는 조선시대 전통무예 시연과
기념사진을 찍을 수 있는 포토타임 시간도 마련됩니다.
