Public officials banned from being treated to golf, travel
Revised code of conduct now in force

The latest revision to the provincial government’s code of conduct bans public officials from being treated to travel and rounds of golf.

The new regulations came into effect July 8th.

Among the other changes, when public officials dine for business-related purposes, meals must be under 30,000 won… and they may attend a maximum of three outside lectures a month.

The new conduct code also bans public officials from taking part in events related to companies or groups with which they have a personal connection.

공무원 골프·여행접대 금지…행동강령 강화

앞으로 공무원들은 직무관계자로부터
골프나 여행접대를 받는 것이 원천적으로 금지됩니다.

제주특별자치도는 청렴한 공직자상 정립을 위해
오늘(8일)부터 이같은 내용을 담은 제주특별자치도 공무원 행동강령 개정안을 시행한다고 밝혔습니다.

이에 따라 공무원은 직무관련자와의 식사자리는
한끼당 3만원 범위내에서만 가능하고, 외부 강의 참여도 월 3회까지만 할 수 있습니다.

또 이번 개정안은 본인과 관련된 법인 또는 단체에 대해서는
업무를 제외하도록 하는 제도도 담고 있습니다.
