Provincial representatives issued a record number of passports in the first half of the year.

They handed out 25,264 in the January-to-June period. That’s 35.7 percent more than the first six months of 2015.

By age group, the biggest percentage - at 17 percent - was issued to twentysomethings. 16.4 percent went to those between the ages of 10 and 19, and another 16.4 percent were issued to islanders in their 40s.

The largest numbers were issued in the months of January and June… during or around school break… when 4,816 and 4,692 passports were issued, respectively.

올해 상반기 여권 발급량이 사상 최고를 기록했습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 올해 상반기 제주도내에서 발급된 여권은
모두 2만 5천 264건으로 지난해 같은 기간보다 35.7% 증가했습니다.

연령별로 살펴보면 20대가 17%로 가장 많았고, 이어 10대 16.4%, 40대 16.4% 순이었습니다.

시기별로 보면 1월이 4천 816건과 6월 4천 692건 등 으로
주로 학생들의 방학 기간에 신청이 집중된 것으로 분석됩니다.
