Province subsidizing purchase of 3,000 electric vehicles in H2
Applications being accepted through August 26

The provincial government is accepting applications through August 26th for the subsidized purchase of 3,000 electric vehicles in the second half of the year.

The province is offering up to 21 million won per vehicle, up from the previous maximum support of 19 million won. Purchase restrictions have been lifted, opening up the way for car rental companies, car sharing firms, and international school staff to qualify for the subsidies.

In previous years, the grants were provided on the condition that the purchaser not resell the vehicle within two years, but that regulation has been lifted in Jeju.

Finally, all public institutions, public parking lots, and public tourist attractions will be required to have electric vehicle charging stations, and EV drivers will not be charged parking or entrance fees at them.

하반기 전기차 3천대 민간보급 선착순 공모

제주특별자치도가 올 하반기에 전기차 3천대를 보급하기로 하고 다음달 26일까지 선착순으로 접수합니다.

특히 올 하반기 보급 대상자에 한해 구매 보조금을 기존 1천 900만원에서 2천 100만원으로 상향 조정하고 렌터카나 카셰어링과 같은 자동차대여사업자, 그리고 국제학교 종사자에게도 신청할 수 있도록 자격을 완화했습니다.

또 보조금 교부조건이었던 2년간 전기차 판매 금지조항을 제주도내에서는 제외조항으로 뒀습니다.

제주도는 공공기관과 공영주차장, 공영관광지에서의 전기차 전용주차 구역을 의무화하고 주차료와 입장료 면제 등의 혜택을 제공할 방침입니다.
