Jeju information centers to be standardized
Follows complaints of inconsistency

The information centers in Jeju will be standardized in order to better help visitors.

The province says it distributed manuals last month. The manuals include basic guidelines as well as standardized methods on how to help travelers.

Next month, uniforms will be distributed to the centers.

Travelers have made numerous complaints about the inconsistency of the help they were given at different information centers.

제주특별자치도는
지난달 관광안내소에서 근무하는 안내사 40여 명에게
관광안내 기본사항과 응대방법을 담은
관광안내서비스 표준 매뉴얼을 배포했습니다.

또 다음달에는 통일된 관광안내사 근무복을 보급해
신뢰도를 높일 계획입니다.

한편, 그동안 관광안내소는
안내사에 능력에 따라 전달되는 내용이 달라
운영기관별 정보공유가 부족하다는 문제점이 지적돼 왔습니다.
