100 more electric taxis by year-end
Ministry of Environment offering substantial subsidies

The provincial government says the island will have 100 new electric taxis by the end of the year.

The Ministry of Environment is subsidizing the purchases of the vehicles to the tune of 30 million won each: 21 million for the cost of the new car, 4 million for a charger, and 5 million won to replace the current taxi.

Currently, only seven electric taxis are in use in Jeju.

연말까지 전기택시 100대 보급

제주특별자치도가 연말까지 영업용과 개인용으로
전기택시 1백대를 추가 보급합니다.

보조금 지원 규모는
환경부에서 2천 1백만 원,
충전기 구입비 4백만 원,
기존 택시 교체비용 5백만 원 등 모두 3천만 원입니다.

현재 도내에서 운행중인 전기택시는 7대입니다.
