Silk trees blossom on Hallasan Mountain
Full bloom expected at end of month

Silk trees, known in Korean as “jagwi trees,” have begun blossoming on Hallasan Mountain.

The light pink flowers can be seen mid-way up the mountain. Hallasan National Park officials expect them to be in full bloom around the end of the month.

Silk trees generally bud in late June and begin blooming in early July, peaking right in the middle of the summer.

한라산 중산간 자귀나무 꽃 장관

한라산 중산간 일대에 자귀나무 꽃이 만개했습니다.

제주특별자치도 한라산국립공원에 따르면
본격적인 여름이 시작되면서
한라산 중산간에 자귀나무도 화사한 연홍색 꽃을 피워
장관을 이루고 있습니다.

자귀나무는 오는 이달 말까지는
만개할 것으로 예상됩니다.

한편 자귀나무는 6월말에 꽃봉오리를 맺고
7월초부터 꽃을 피우는 합환수로
여름에 가장 화려한 모양의 꽃을 피우는 나무로
알려져 있습니다.
