Electric energy consumption to peak at 819,000 kW this summer
Korea Power Exchange foresees no problems in energy supply

The Korea Power Exchange predicts electric energy consumption in Jeju will peak at 819,000 kilowatts this summer.

The Jeju branch of the KPE says this year’s maximum power use will be about 60,000 kilowatts higher than last year’s.

The agency says it foresees no problems in supply, as it has raised the island's maximum capacity to 1,047,000 kilowatts. That’s 27.8 percent higher than expected peak demand. That buffer is, however, a little lower than last year, when the difference between capacity and maximum demand was 30.2 percent.

이에 대한 전력설비 공급능력은 104만7천kW를 확보해
공급예비율은 27.8%로 지난해 30.2%보다는 다소 떨어졌지만
전력 수급에는 차질이 없을 것으로
예상했습니다.
