Consignment sales of fish increase in H1
13,200 tons sold for ￦140b

The provincial government says both the amount and the value of fish sold on consignment increased in the first half of this year.

13,200 tons of fish were sold on consignment through Jeju’s six Suhyup branches. That’s five percent more than a year ago. They were sold for around 140 billion won, which is four percent more last year’s 134 billion won.

In terms of quantity, yellow corvina saw the biggest rise in consignment sales at 35 percent. As for prices, sea bream prices were up 4 billion won from 18.6 billion in the first half of 2016.

The province attributed the rise in sales to the greater numbers of yellow corvina and sea bream in Jeju waters this year.

연근해 어종 위판량·위판액 모두 증가

올해 상반기 연근해 어선 어업 위판실적이
지난해 같은 기간보다 좋아진 것으로 나타났습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 올 상반기 도내 6개 수협의
위판량은 1만 3천 2백여 톤으로 전년 대비 5% 늘었고
위판액도 지난해 1천 340억에서
올해 1천 4백억원으로 4% 증가했습니다.

어종 별로는 참조기 위판량이 지난해 810톤에서 올해 1천 90톤으로 35% 증가하며
가장 큰 폭으로 늘었고
위판액은 옥돔이 지난해 144억에서 올해 186억원으로 40억여 원 증가했습니다.

제주도는 올해 제주연근해를 중심으로 참조기와 옥돔 어장이 형성되면서
관련 어종의 위판량과 위판액이 모두 늘었다고 분석했습니다.
