230 electric vehicle chargers to be installed by year-end
168 will be high-speed chargers

The provincial government will install an additional 230 electric vehicle chargers across the island by the end of 2016.

The total consists of 168 high-speed 62 low-speed chargers. They will be installed at the Jeju Sports Complex, Yongmeori Beach and other public venues, as well as at major retail outlets and along main roads.

Drivers will be able to charge up at 45 of them at public office buildings for free for a limited time.

제주특별자치도가
올해 연말까지 전기차 충전기 230기를 확대 설치합니다.

제주도는 한국전력공사와 한국전기차충전서비스와 함께
연말까지 도내 급속 충전기 168기와 완속충전기 62기 등
총 230기의 충전시설을 설치할 예정입니다.

설치 장소는
제주종합경기장과 용머리 해안 등 공공시설과 사설관광지를 비롯해
대형마트와 편의점 그리고 주요간선도로변 등입니다.

제주도는 특히 공공기관에 설치하는 급속충전기 45기에 대해서는
충전요금을 한시적으로 무료로 운영할 계획입니다.
