Fewer job vacancies for new workers in H2
Jobseekers have 11% fewer options compared to first six months of year

The Jeju Chamber of Commerce and Industry predicts slightly fewer job openings for new workers in the second half of the year.

The chamber surveyed 100 local companies. Sixty-seven said they would hire a total of some 350 new workers. That’s 11 percent fewer than the options for new jobseekers in the first half of the year. In explaining that drop, the firms’ representatives said that they already had sufficient employees and/or that sales were down this year.

By percentage, tourism and accommodation facilities will be hiring the most new employees, followed by the service and manufacturing industries.

하반기 신규 채용규모 소폭 감소

올 하반기 도내 신규 채용규모가 소폭 줄어들 전망입니다.

제주상공회의소가 도내 100개 업체를 대상으로 하반기 고용동향을 조사한 결과 67개 기업에서 350여 명을 채용할 계획이라고 답했습니다.

이같은 채용규모는 올 상반기보다 11% 줄어든 것으로 현재 부족인원이 없고 올해 매출감소 등의 이유로 채용규모를 줄인 것으로 조사됐습니다.

한편, 하반기 채용 예정인 업체 가운데 관광숙박업 채용인원이 가장 많고 기타서비스업, 제조업 등이 뒤를 잇고 있습니다.
