Swine fever restrictions lifted
90 slaughterhouses in Hallim-eup tested negative

The provincial government has lifted its transportation restriction of all pigs within a 3 to 10 kilometer radius of the Hallim-eup slaughterhouse where swine fever was discovered back in June.

The province and Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency says it decided to lift the restriction after pigs at 90 slaughterhouses within the restriction area tested negative for the virus.

This means now pigs and related products can be transported out of the area.

Officials say they will conduct further blood tests on pigs within a 3 kilometer radius of the slaughterhouse in question, and lift the restriction there as well,... if no cases of swine fever are found.

돼지열병 경계지역 이동제한 해제

돼지열병이 발생한 한림읍 양돈농가를 중심으로 반경 3에서 10km에 이내 경계지역에 대한 돼지 이동제한이 해제됐습니다.

제주특별자치도와 농림축산검역본부는 경계지역 내 양돈농가 90곳에서 기르는 돼지 혈청검사를 실시한 결과 돼지 열병 바이러스가 검출되지 않으면서 오늘부터 경계지역 이동제한을 해제한다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 경계지역내 돼지는 물론 돼지 정액과 수정란, 분뇨 등에 대한 이동제한도 함께 해제됐습니다.

제주도는 발생농가로부터 반경 3km 이내인 위험지역에 있는 양돈농가 64곳 에 대해서도 돼지 혈청검사를 실시한 뒤 이상이 없으면 이동제한을 해제할 예정입니다.
