10% refund on energy-efficient home appliances
Cash rebate of up to \200,000 available from July 1 to Sept. 30

A 10 percent cash refund will be given for purchases of energy-efficient products with a grade 1 rating.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy says the rebate plan applies to purchases made between July 1st and September 30th. Eligible products are televisions under 40 inches, air conditioners, refrigerators, kimchi refrigerators and air purifiers. The 10 percent refund is limited to a maximum sum of 200,000 won.

To receive the refund, buyers must upload their transaction information to the Korea Energy Agency’s website. Funds can be received within 30 days after applying online.

에너지소비효율 1등급 가전제품을 구매한 소비자에게 제품 가격의 10%가 환급됩니다.

산업통상자원부에 따르면 지난 1일부터 9월 30일까지 구입한 에너지소비효율 1등급인 40인치 이하 TV와 에어컨, 냉장고, 기청정기에 대해 20만 원 한도 안에서 제품 구매가격의 10%를 돌려받을 수 있습니다.

환급을 받으려는 소비자는 PC나 모바일로 환급 사이트에 접속해
거래명세서와 제품 제조번호 등을 입력하면 30일 이내 돌려받을 수 있습니다.
