Nighttime hours extended at Cheonjiyeon Falls
Daily visitor numbers top 1,600 during peak summer season

The opening hours at Cheonjiyeon (천지연) Falls have been extended during the month of August to allow for more visitors during nighttime hours.

The city of Seogwipo says the closing time will be moved back 30 minutes from the previous 10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. this month to meet soaring demand from visitors during the peak summer season.

Seogwipo city reported that a total of 1,600 people visited in the evening after mid July and a total of 2,000 people are expected to visit in August, which is 20% of its daily visitors.

8월 한달간 천지연폭포 야간 관람시간 마감을 종전 밤 10시에서 10시 30분으로 30분 늘립니다.

서귀포시에 따르면 장마가 끝난 7월 중순 이후 천지연폭포 야간 관람객 입장객수는 1일 평균 1600여명이다. 8월에는 2000명을 넘길것으로 예상하고 있다. 이는 1일 전체 관람객의 20% 정도에 해당한다.
