Consumer price index up
Agricultural products lead upward trend

The price of agricultural products rose last month, pushing the consumer price index up by 0.9 percent compared to a year ago. According to the Jeju branch of the Honam Statistical Office, Jeju’s July consumer price index stood at 107.93.

The increase was led by a 2.9 percent rise in the index of agricultural products, and a 1.9 percent rise in the service sector, including public bills.

The report also showed that the "living necessities" price index, which measures the cost of key products that people consume on a daily basis, gained 0.4 percent on-year last month, at 107.93.

소비자 물가 상승…농축수산물 '주도'

지난달 농축수산물 가격이 오르면서 도내 소비자 물가도 상승세를 이어가고 있습니다.

호남지방통계청 제주사무소에 따르면 지난달 도내 소비자물가지수는 107.93으로
지난해 같은 기간보다 0.9% 올랐습니다.

특히 농축수산물이 지난해보다 2.9% 오르며 상승률을 이끌었고 집세 등 서비스 부문도 1.9% 상승했습니다.

체감물가를 반영하는 생활물가지수도 0.4% 오른 107.93을 기록했습니다.
