Crackdown on food origin labeling ahead of Chuseok
Inspectors fanning out to all retail outlets

Officials are beefing up their crackdown on food with incorrect origin labeling ahead of the upcoming Chuseok national holidays.

The Jeju branch of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service will monitor agricultural food items through September 13th at major retailers as well as traditional markets and smaller retail shops.

Inspectors will be on the lookout for imports labeled as local products, mislabeled production dates on grains, and other violations.

다가오는 추석명절을 맞아 농축식품 원산지표시 일제 단속이 이뤄집니다.

국립농산물품질관리원 제주지원은 다음달까지 13일까지
도내 농식품 제조·유통업체를 비롯해 전통시장, 마트 등을 중심으로 농축식품 원산지 표시 일제단속을 벌입니다.

중점 단속사항으로는 수입산을 국내산으로 둔갑하거나 혼합하는 행위,
양곡의 생산년도를 속위는 행위, 축산물 이력번호를 허위로 표시하는 행위 등 입니다.
