Groundwater levels ‘relatively stable’
Drought had little effect on freshwater supply

Meanwhile, groundwater levels remain relatively stable, despite the drought conditions that have affected the island over the past month.

The provincial government measured 61 observation wells and found that the average water level was 18.09 meters. That’s a half meter higher than the August average.

The water level was relatively higher in the west while some eastern regions showed lower-than-usual levels. Southern regions were right around normal.

최근 관측정 61군데 지하수위를 측정한 결과
18.09미터로 나타나
8월 평균수위인
17.59미터에 비해 0.5미터 높은 것으로 관측됐습니다.

지역별로 보면 서부지역이 높은 반면
동부와 북부 일부지역은
평년보다 낮게 형성되고 있으며
남부지역은 평년수준을 유지하는 것으로 분석됐습니다.
