Tests negative at farm suspected of swine flu outbreak
Animal transport restrictions lifted for Daejeong-eup farm

A farm in Daejeong that had been closed off last week due to a suspected case of swine flu has been reopened.

Provincial authorities said Monday that tests of livestock at the farm showed traces of a non-pathogenic serotype, so they lifted the transport ban that had been imposed on swine from the farm.

Although authorities have lifted that transport ban, they say they will continue to monitor the animals at the site until all antibodies have died out.

지난 9일 이동제한 조치가 내려졌던 대정읍 돼지열병 의심 농가에 대한 시료 분석 결과
야외바이러스가 아닌 백신주로 판정됐습니다.

제주도가 검역본부에 의뢰한 돼지열병 항원 검사에서 해당 농가 시료에서는
야외바이러스가 아닌 돼지열병 백신주에 의한 항원과 항체가 검출됐다고 밝혔습니다.

이에 따라 해당 농가에 대한 이동제한은 모두 해제됐고 도축과 출하도 가능해졌습니다.

제주도는 최근 한림지역에서 발생했던 야외바이러스 감염 사례가 아닌 만큼 출하에는 문제가 없지만 만일을 대비해 항체 소멸까지 특별관리농가로 지정해 모니터링을 강화할 방침입니다.
