Seogwipo Chilsimni Festival kicks off Sept. 30
Parade, traditional events featured

The Seogwipo Chilsimni Festival is coming on September 30th, and will run until October 2nd at the Jaguri Park and Chilsimni Food Street in Seogwipo.

The main highlight of the festival is a parade in which anyone, as a part of a team of 10 or more, can take part in this year. This includes both local residents and tourists alike.

There will also be a Jeju dialect contest, a traditional wedding ceremony, the Chilsimni song contest, a flea market, and fishing event, where contestants will be tasked with catching conches and top shells.

'느영나영 모다들엉 지꺼지게'를 주제로
오는 30일부터
다음달 2일까지 사흘 동안
서귀포 자구리공원과 칠십리음식특화거리 이루언에서 열립니다.

이번 축제에서는
대표 프로그램인 퍼레이드에 참가 규모를 확대해
도민이나 관광객 누구나
10명 이상으로 팀을 꾸려 참여할 수 있도록 했습니다.

이와함께 제주어 말하기 대회를 비롯해
제주전통혼례,
칠십리가요제, 플리마켓 등이 열리며,
소라나 보말 등을
직접 잡아볼 수 있는 체험 프로그램도 새롭게 선보일 예정입니다.
