Jeju getting 4 more electric vehicle charging stations
Ministry of Environment to test run them through February

The Ministry of Environment will run four new electric vehicle charging stations on a trial basis through this coming February.

They will be located near Seongsan Sunrise Peak, Seongsan Port, in the parking lot at Yongmeori Coast, and at the Hallim Sports Complex in Jeju City.

Each station will be equipped with at least five chargers.

Ministry officials say they hope to reduce the wait time for EV drivers trying to get back on the road and expand the general infrastructure in Jeju for electric vehicles.

전기차 집중충전소 4군데 시범 설치

환경부가 제주도에 전기차 집중전기충전소 4군데를 내년 2월까지 시범 설치하기로 했습니다.

이에 따라 성산일출봉과 성산항, 용머리해안 주차장, 제주시 한림체육관에는 한 지점에 전기차 급속충전기 5기 이상이 설치되는 이른바 집중전기충전소가 갖춰지게 됩니다.

환경부는 이를 통해 전기차 충전을 위해 불필요하게 대기하던 시간이 줄어들 것이라며 전기차 인프라 확충에 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.
