Barred from donating roads in exchange for construction permits

Developers will no longer to be allowed to donate roads to the local government in exchange for construction permits.

Jeju City says it will ban the practice, which is known as contributive acceptance, in order to prevent wreckless development and speculation.

Companies have until now been donating part of the land they planned to develop in order to obtain the necessary permits.

The local government will also expand the types of land for which this pertains to include greenbelt zones.

제주시, 토지쪼개기식 도로기부채납 '불허'

건축허가 요건을 갖추기 위해 토지 쪼개기로 도로를 기부채납하는 방식의 개발행위가 일체 금지됩니다.

제주시는 난개발과 투기 행위 방지를 위해 업무처리지침을 개정하고 이같이 정했습니다.

이에 따라 개발허가 기준인 도로 폭 6미터를 맞추기 위해 토지 일부를 기부채납하는 방식을 일체 불허하기로 했습니다.

신설도로인 경우에도 기부체납 제외 지역을 기존 녹지지역에서 관리지역으로 확대하기로 했습니다.
