E-farming project operator selected
‘￦50m profit per megawatt generated guaranteed’

The provincial government says it will push ahead with an electric farming project that involves the installation of solar panels.

Officials announced Thursday that the province had chosen Daewoo Construction Consortium to be the project operator.

Some 100 area farms will take part in the initiative. 59-megawatt solar panels will be installed, and each farm is expected to make an annual average of 50 million won per megawatt generated by them over the next 20 years.

The province will now discuss details with the project operator. It plans to have the system up and running by the end of the year.

제주특별자치도가 최근 전기농사사업에 따른 참여기업을 공모한 결과 농가 수익 보장 부문 등에서
높은 평가를 받은 대우건설 컨소시엄을 최종 사업자로 선정했습니다.

이에 따라 참여농가 100여 곳, 88헥타르 부지에 800억 원이 투입돼 59메가와트급 태양광 전기 설비가 들어서며 참여농가는 설비 이후 20년 간 1메가와트를 기준으로 연평균 5천 1백만 원의 확정 수익을 얻게 됩니다.
